"Anglican"
means the tradition that comes through the Church of England (in America, this came through the Episcopal Church). "Catholic" means whole or complete or Universal, as used in the ancient Creeds and as Anglicans have always used it.

FROM THE RECTOR: AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION, WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

A cross to greet you as you come up our drive
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM A CHURCH?

Worship of God, or entertainment?

Unchanging and eternal truth, or the latest trends in fashionable thinking?

Faith or politics?

The words of eternal life, or warm feelings to see you through the week?

Genuine forgiveness of sin, or mere acceptance?

O WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS

Come to St. Benedict’s Anglican Church, and rediscover the fullness of faith.

We, in line with our Anglican tradition, do not claim to be the one true Church. We are simply a part of it. The Church was founded by the Lord Jesus Christ, designed by God to go into every nation, to grow in every culture, and for its truth to be spoken in every language, “the tongues of men and of angels.” Representative of the universality of the Church and our own international church body in particular, St. Benedict’s has parish members from various places, such as different African countries, from Burma, from Lebanon, from Chili, as well as people from the United States. Sundays are a foretaste of Revelation 5:9. It just worked out that way, because people coming from places where Anglicanism remains orthodox in doctrine look for a genuine expression of Anglican Faith and Practice. We invite you to come and see why.

In the words of the Psalmist, “O Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

- Fr. Hart
